Students of Rural Health Aotearoa
Students of Rural Health Aotearoa (SoRHA) is a voice to connect, inform and support those considering a career in rural health or those already on the rural careers pathway. SoRHA hopes to represent the future of rural health and wellbeing in New Zealand and is the only multidisciplinary student health network in Aotearoa New Zealand, bringing together people studying in health or wellbeing and encouraging them to pursue rural health careers.
SoRHA aims to:
- Provide a voice for students who are interested in improving health and wellbeing outcomes for all rural and remote New Zealanders.
- Promote rural health careers and encourage students who are interested in practising in rural health.
SoRHA and its Rural Health Clubs offer rural experience opportunities, engagement with rural health professionals, rural iwi and communities, career information and a social base for students at university and other tertiary training institutions. SoRHA is an initiative of the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network.
